For the modern American teen, it may be easier to buy a beer at a corner grocery store than a book on Amazon.com.
Too young for credit or debit cards, the generation that grew up online still can’t really shop there. Of the $200 billion the nation’s 30 million teens spend each year, just a fraction of purchases are made online, says Dan Coates, president of New York-based YPulse.com marketing. The main obstacle? Just 6% of teens have credit cards, according to SurveyU.com. “For online retailers, teens remain a massive untapped market,” he says.
Which is why eBay, like Facebook, is exploring ways to allow those aged 13 to 18 to set up their own accounts, The Wall Street Journal reports. In explaining the move, eBay said it would make sure teens did not have full access to the site, and will not be able to view or purchase inappropriate items.
Rather than have their parents sign off on every purchase — PayPal, Chase Bank, Wells Fargo and other banks offer teen checking accounts that are co-signed by parents – experts say teens still prefer to take cash from mom and day and shop in bricks-and-mortar stores, experts say. “The mall still reigns supreme among teenagers,” Coates says. Only 7% of girls and 15% of boys say they prefer buying online, a Piper Jaffray report found. One-third of teens cited specialty stores as their preferred retailer of choice, while 36% say they like chains and discount stores.

Some price-conscious teens also spend their time reverse-show-rooming. That is, they find the latest fashions online – then buy them at the mall. Christina Berardi, 18, a student from San Francisco, shops in H&M, Urban Outfitters and Forever 21. “I like NastyGal.com,” she says, but generally buys clothes in person. “I use it for ideas.”
Teenage girls, in particular, still use the mall to socialize. “Male teenagers are task-driven, heat-seeking missiles that like to get in and get out of actual stores,” Coates says. Teenage girls like to shop in groups and use their mobile phones to send pictures of what they’re buying to friends, check for bargains and compare prices, he says.
Plus, teenagers have more freedom to buy what they want at the mall. For instance, if Berardi shops on Amazon.com or eBay, she must use her mother’s credit card, and then pays her back. “I’ve never purchased something online without her knowing,” she says, “and my mom never wants me to buy something that’s too expensive.”

I can do better. I would love to complete this theme with quality icons but I don’t have the time right now in my life. When I get some more free time I’ll try to make some not copy and paste icons. But as I said keep up the nice c & p icons. Some people appreciates them….

Your right Andrew. I just hope that he will at least try to concentrate on making some beautiful icons. It just brakes a little piece of my heart when c & p is posted. Its up to him, it’s just an recomendation.

Someone had wanted a settings alt. I simply moved the artwork from Crypt’s other theme onto the Candlejack base.

XselsertBla bla bla.You as a politician. Just saying.I will try to do close to the original theme, where possible.I have 300 applications, and for each draw something new, I think the iphone 7 will be released.how do you propose to draw the icon style theme? I just interested. Let me guess. You cut the crocodile and paste it into a new background.Do it!This is your icon. This is not a copy paste? pfff

Why are you so mad? Im just hoping that you will be a little more creative. But its completly up to you, so if you will continue to make c & p then do that. And for the record that cut the rope icon isn’t a copy and paste. I made some changes from crypts original and added the fragile sign and the little monster which got a stroke and some shade Better than yours wheres my water icon. Just let i go okay.

Exact words from Kevin in the Readme document in his icon template .zip:”And please put some effort into the icons you make; try to avoid copy/paste icons.”Which is what Xselsert does, he puts forth an effort. I’m no pro at making icons and confess sometimes I will copy/paste; but I try my best to not just take the app artwork and re-shrink it and copy/paste. That’s why I haven’t touch many request is because I can’t really make anything “nice” with the app artwork and would rather pass on the request than create more c/p icons. But as murdercitydevil said, it’s better that copy/paste icons are made and keep a beautiful theme like Candlejack alive, then allow it to be ignored/buried…and that I agree with. So for the sake of this awesome theme, those of us that are discontent about copy/paste icons should keep our mouths shut and those that do create copy/paste icons, please understand to try to put forth some effort in making them; and not just make icons that are exact copies of the default app artwork.Just my thought/suggestion…

So..I thought I would give a SB settings theme a whirl. Here is what I have got thus far. Anything subject to change as I don’t want to disgrace the quality of this theme. Open in new tab for big boy size.

VALIANT Character Desktop Icons
In the February 1993 issues of VALIANT comics, a set of desktop icons

This winning set of desktop icons features many characters from

current icons for shortcuts on your desktop.
